About Me

Guy Clifton is an award-winning journalist, educator, author and Nevada history enthusiast. He was raised in Gabbs before attending the University of Nevada, Reno and has spent most of his professional career in Northern Nevada. He is skilled in writing, editing, video, social media, historical research, historical presentations and photography. He is the author of nine books, all with Nevada themes. He lives in Reno with his dogs, Scruffy and Boogens. In 2022, he was honored by the Nevada System of Higher Education as a Distinguished Nevada.
